In Loving Memory of Trevor George: The Heart Behind Our Mission

Trevor George was an energetic, kind, and compassionate boy who touched the lives of everyone around him. His bright spirit and unique ability to sense when others were in need often brought comfort to those who needed it most, whether through a smile, a hug, or a simple kind word. Tragically, Trevor passed away in 2014 from Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) at the tender age of 6 and a half.

In honor of Trevor’s generous spirit, his family created Trevor’s Toes and Tushies, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing new socks and underwear to children living in poverty—items often overlooked in traditional clothing drives. We believe every child deserves the dignity of having the basics, and through this organization, we aim to continue Trevor’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and community service.

What began as a small initiative soon grew into something much larger. Since our first drive, we’ve distributed over 34,000 pairs of socks, bringing comfort and hope to countless children. Achieving our 501(c)(3) status has allowed us to expand our efforts, enabling us to partner with schools, social workers, and educators to meet the needs of even more children.

Trevor’s passing not only inspired this nonprofit but also shaped my journey to becoming a grief and trauma coach. Through my practice, Reclaiming Hope Coach, I work with individuals navigating their own grief and loss, helping them find purpose and healing in the face of unimaginable pain. These parallel paths—coaching and the nonprofit—are united by the same mission: to bring hope, compassion, and support to those in need.

Trevor’s Toes and Tushies is more than an organization—it’s a way to honor a boy who brought so much light to the world. We invite you to learn more about Trevor’s story and join us in continuing the important work we’re doing in his name. Together, we can make a lasting impact, ensuring no child goes without these essential items.
