Trevor George was a kind-hearted, energetic boy who had a special way of lighting up the lives of those around him. Known to many as T-man, Mr. T, or Tornado Trev, Trevor was full of life and loved his family and friends deeply. He enjoyed mismatched socks, playing with his siblings, and jamming on his guitar. He always greeted the world with a smile and a caring heart, even at such a young age.
One of the things people remember most about Trevor was his awareness of how others felt and his eagerness to step in when someone needed support. He had a natural compassion that made him a friend to everyone, and he knew how important it was to help those in his community.
Sadly, in August 2014, Trevor passed away at the age of 6 and a half from
Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). His passing left an unimaginable void in the hearts of his family and all who knew him, but his spirit of kindness and generosity continues to live on through TREVOR'S TOES AND TUSHIES 501c3
.
In memory of Trevor, his family created TREVOR'S TOES AND TUSHIES 501c3 , a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes new socks and underwear to children living in poverty. This organization was founded to fill a gap left by many clothing drives, which often overlook these essential items.
Trevor’s love for mismatched socks is now a symbol of the difference he made—and continues to make—in the world. Through this nonprofit, his family and supporters have provided over 34,000 pairs of socks and underwear to children in need, ensuring that Trevor’s kindness lives on in every donation.
This organization is not only a way to honor Trevor’s memory, but it’s also a way to help other children feel supported and valued. Providing them with something as simple as new socks and underwear reminds them that they are cared for, just as Trevor would have wanted.

"We miss Trevor every single day. His sudden and very confusing departure from this life has altered us in ways that we are still learning to understand. Our home will never feel the same without him, but through
TREVOR'S TOES AND TUSHIES , we find a way to keep his spirit alive.
Trevor had a beautiful determination in life. We remember so clearly how, after a tough day of learning to ride his 2-wheel bike, he said, ‘Tomorrow, I WILL get it,’ and much to our surprise, he sure did. That was Trevor—fierce in his determination and always full of love and positivity. He was a little boy with a big heart, and we want to continue spreading that love through this mission."

For many families, SUDC is a tragic and mysterious reality. It refers to the sudden and unexpected death of a healthy child over the age of 12 months that remains unexplained after a thorough investigation. Learning about
SUDC connected us with a network of other parents who understand the immense loss we’ve experienced, and it has given us the opportunity to contribute to research that we hope will one day provide answers.
